Robert “Bob” Berry, age 73 of Fairfield went home to be the Lord from his home on Saturday, March 6, 2010.  He was born in Gray, Kentucky on September 9, 1936 the son of Samuel Jeffrey and Kate (Ray) Berry.  On August 18, 1956 in Connersville, Indiana he married Betty Lee Parker.  Bob was a veteran of the United States Air Force from 1956-1960.  He was employed as a truck driver by Carolina Freight and Formica Products for numerous years, retiring in 1995.  Bob enjoyed traveling, music, spending time with his family, and telling the “Good News”, the gospel.  Bob always preferred saying, “he belonged to God’s Church”.

Bob was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty Berry of Fairfield; three children, Debra (David) Glaub of Fairfield, Candi Berry of Trenton, and Deron (Cindy) Berry of Hamilton; ten grandchildren, Jessica (Jamie) Benge, Aarrica Miller, Lisa Warrington, Jason Haddix, Kelli Harvey, Tyler and Katie Paul, Brett and Ryan Berry, and Danielle Ginter; three brothers, Donald (Martha) Berry, Ronnie (Linda) Berry, and Samuel (Norma) Berry; two sisters, Joanne (Tom) Ingham and Shirley Rowe; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Billy Owen; and brother, Billy Berry.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Ronald J. Wright officiating.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.  Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.  The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to his caregiver, Cheryl Robinson for all her care and support.
